Introduce UC Davis Athletics to a Friend
For those of us with a deep-seated passion for UC Davis Athletics and its student-athletes, it is very easy (and common) to speak of the nearly 45% of our athletes with a 3.0 GPA or better during the 2006 academic year; the three NCAA Women of the Year recipients; or the six conference affiliations; and much more. I would like to provide you an opportunity to share with us the accomplishments of the rich heritage of our athletics program in hopes you will share the legacy with family and friends. For your convenience, I have provided the following link to "Welcome to Athletics" presentation,

Supporting the Endowments
We should never forget those coaches, administrators or past students-athletes who have made a difference for all of us in UC Davis Athletics. Through their influence, passion, and love for UC Davis, these individuals are presently, or had an undying belief in the academic and athletics excellence of the student-athlete.
Each year, UC Davis Athletics dedicates one special and memorable evening recognizing our donors and student-athlete recipients. The Donor Appreciation Dinner provides an opportunity for our student-athletes to meet our donors, which helps them better understand the significance and honor of being the scholar-athlete recipient. With nearly 200 persons in attendance, the student-athletes sit studiously as they listen to the various speakers recount the importance and passion that their endowment or memorial scholarship brings to UC Davis Athletics. Heart-felt tributes are shared that recognize the donor’s passion for the university and the great sacrifices student-athletes must make to become the best they can be. The night is memorable . . . for all of us in athletics.
Continued financial support of our endowments and memorial scholarships from our alumni and friends is important to our student-athletes of today and tomorrow. There is a very good chance you may have known, or currently know one of our many individuals who have established their own endowment, or have established an endowment in the memory of a loved one. A tax-deductible gift in support of any one of the many scholarships below is greatly needed and appreciated.
If you care to receive additional information, set up your own endowment, or to send a tax-deductible donation in support of a name listed below, please contact Assistant Athletics Director, Michael Angius at 530-752-8683.
